Grilled tuna with Allioli

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh tuna steaks ( each with about 180 g)
  • For the Allioli:
    • 40 g garlic
    • ½ tea spoon salt
    • 250 ml olive oil

Procedure:

Peel garlic, cut up and chop it with salt. Process it with a flat knife or a mortar to a very fine paste. Fill the paste in a bowl and add olive oil with an egg beater drop by drop. A white creamy sauce occurs.

Heat a pan. Dab off steaks with a tissue to dry. Salt, pepper and spread tuna with oil on both sites. Grill steaks with great heat on both sites (maximum 2 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish).

Serve tuna with lemon splits and the Allioli. Side dish could be fried potatoes or baguette.
