Oy Jurilab Ltd is a high-tech research and development bioscience company focusing on genetic discovery and the development of related diagnostic products and services. Jurilab is located in the Kuopio Science Park, near the University campus.

Jurilab provides analysis services for companies, research institutes and health care organizations. The analysis service is focused on to assess study subjects' oxidative stress profile, consisting of in vivo lipid peroxidation product, antioxidative vitamin and antioxidative enzyme activity analytics. These measurements can be used in different drug and functional food trials to assess beneficial effects of foods, food supplements, or drugs administered, or in epidemiological trials to evaluate degenerative disease mechanisms, or for example, genetic determinants of oxidative stress.

Jurilab is a partner in several European Commission funded study projects. In addition to Eurolive, Jurilab offers analysis services in the Generale study. This study is focused on to examine genetic risk factors and oxidative stress in atherosclerosis, and in coronary and cerebrovascular diseases.
